WHAT DO RESIDENTIAL SERVICES DO
Our program provides quality care and accommodation for children and young people who are no longer able to reside in their family homes due to protective concerns.
OBJECTIVES OF THE RESIDENTIAL SERVICES PROGRAM
The program aims to:
- Ensure the safety & well-being of children and young people in out of home care.
- Assist individuals in maintaining and / or establishing ongoing positive family relationships and dynamics.
- Provide a stabilised environment that offers role modeling by positive primary carers.
- Assist in the enhancement of the child and young person’s self esteem and self worth.
Looking after children incorporates:
- Ongoing assessment & planning of individual needs
- Health monitoring & intervention
- Links to appropriate education facilities & engagement supports
- Access to specialist support services
- Support in maintaining vital family and social connections
- Recreational & hobby programs
- Individual client advocacy
- Children are accommodated and cared for in a safe and secure way.
- Children and young people are given access to improved and appropriate relationships with their families.
- Children & young people are linked to ongoing positive community networks.
- Each and every child & young person is respected and valued.
